Pete Carroll hints NFL team is ‘interested’ in Colin Kaepernick

Consider it as vague an inference as it gets. However, Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Thursday another NFL team reached out to find out about what the coach had to say about exiled quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The Seahawks worked out Kaepernick in 2017 but did not sign him. They currently have Geno Smith as a backup. Consider Kaepernick an intriguing option to the former West Virginia QB, but it doesn’t sound like that is what Carroll was suggesting.

Who could have called is anyone’s guess? There are 31 other teams and Carroll simply left the mystery team’s identity out there

Kaepernick, of course, has been out of the league since opting out of his San Francisco 49ers contract in 2017. He took a knee during the national anthem and it created a firestorm. The controversy has simmered but never subsided.

Now, with calls for social justice and reform all over the country and the NFL changing its overall tune on the matter, there is belief Kaepernick, 32, could be signed.
