PETA's Christmas jumper is the most horrific thing you'll see this year

As Christmas jumpers go, there's plenty of options to suit everybody out there.

From Primark's 29-strong jumper collection to ones with Jeremy Corbyn on, there's a piece of festive knitwear for all tastes.

What nobody asked for, though, is a jumper featuring a mutilated sheep.

PETA clearly didn't get the memo on this, as its Christmas jumper for 2019 features just that. Nope, I'm not sure what the designer was thinking either.

What's more, if you want to buy one of the jumpers, which are made from 100% acrylic yarn and absolutely no wool, you'll have to shell out a whopping £116 (or $149).

The jumpers can be bought from PETA's online shop, and you'll also need to pay shipping costs from the US.

A description on the official PETA website reads: "This is part of PETA’s campaign against the wool industry, where workers have been caught beating, kicking, stomping on, and even killing gentle sheep in shearing sheds."

"With the help of celebrities such as Billie Eilish and P!nk, PETA is calling on shoppers (and retailers like Forever 21) to help sheep by switching to cruelty-free knits."

I think I'll be sticking to jumpers which don't feature mutilated animal heads this year.
