Pet Shop Boys to headline BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park: How to get tickets

Pet Shop Boys have been announced as the headliners of BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.

The pop icons will take to the stage in London on Sunday September 15, topping a bill featuring a selection of popular acts from the last few decades.

The likes of Westlife, Status Quo, Clean Bandit, Bananarama, Emeli Sandé and Simply Red will all perform as part of the event.

The show will be broadcast live on Radio 2 and be made available on BBC Sounds.

Pet Shop Boys are currently on tour, although the Hyde Park show marks their only UK date.

Pet Shop Boys said: “This is the only UK show we’ll be performing this year so it’s going to be a very special one!”

Pet Shop Boys, made up of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, became one of the most popular pop acts of the 80s and 90s after forming in 1981 and have sold over 100 million records worldwide.

Last year’s Radio 2 Live event featured performances from the likes of Kylie Minogue, Manic Street Preachers, Boyzone and Rita Ora.
