
It's been nearly 17 years since the Pet Shop Boys' debut performance in Bangkok, but Thai fans can't get enough of the British iconic duo who will make a comeback with another full-scale concert in the next three months.
Scheduled for April 4 at Impact Exhibition Hall 5, Muang Thong Thani, the "Pet Shop Boys The Super Tour 2019" concert is another chance to witness their mastery of the electronic dance pop that has made them the most successful duo in UK music history.
Formed by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe in 1981, Pet Shop Boys have achieved an amazing 42 top-30 singles in the UK, of which 22 made the top 10, including four UK number ones -- West End Girls, It's A Sin, Always On My Mind and Heart.
They have released 13 studio albums and sold more than 50 million records worldwide. All of their albums have made album charts around the world. Their last album, Super, was released in April 2016 and peaked at No.3 on the UK albums chart.
Over recent years, the duo has headlined and performed at many of the world's most prestigious festivals, including the Sonic Bang Music Festival in Bangkok in 2013.
The upcoming concert is part of their "Super Tour", which has seen them perform 90 shows in 25 countries since 2016. They will bring the tour to Asia for the first time, with the first stop in Singapore in late March, then Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka and Bangkok.
