Pet Sematary clip: Stephen King horror shows one cat isn't going anywhere

Pet Sematary has released a new clip and it's terrifying.

The new footage from the Stephen King adaptation shows off Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke) and his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) trying to comfort their young daughter to say that their cat Church has run away and they believe he has met an untimely end.

However, their daughter Ellie reveals that Church is actually in the room with them - within the wardrobe.

Creed approaches the closet doors and opens it to a scary surprise.

The footage is from the latest adaptation of a Stephen King horror novel and promises to be a terrifying experience.

The story focuses on the Creeds as they move from Boston to rural Maine and discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.

Louis strikes up a friendship with neighbour Jud Crandall (John Lithgow) and sets off a chain of nightmarish events that will change his family forever.

In our review we said that "Pet Sematary is an improved take on the 1989 movie, and satisfying enough that fans of the book won't be disappointed. There's also plenty of gore and "bloody violence" later on as you'd expect from the R-rating so be warned."

Will the family survive the dangers of the Pet Sematary?

Or does an even more brutal fate await them in rural Maine?

Pet Sematary is released in UK cinemas on April 4, 2019.
