Pet cat becomes a dog’s comfort during a tough time; see video

Pets express their emotions in many different ways. Many times, pet owners don’t realise what their dog or cat is emotionally going through. However, a fellow pet can feel it deeply. A video on social media is currently going viral in which a pet cat becomes a dog’s refuge during a tummy ache. (Photo credit: Instagram)

Emotional support is required by all, and this also holds true for dogs. A video posted by @justopiethings shows how a cat became an emotional support animal for his dog in a situation that was not very favourable for him.

The video shows Opie, who is a Pit Bull, lying side by side with his house cat in a serene environment at home. The video also states that Opie was not feeling well and had a stomach ache. However, instead of lying alone, he decided to lie down next to his feline friend, whom he calls his “emotional support cat.”

The video shows the dog and the cat lying side by side, looking relaxed and comfortable. The dog leans towards the cat and eventually places his head on the cat’s stomach, while the cat looks completely relaxed and unfazed by the situation.

In the caption, Opie’s owner said that he was feeling much better after the quiet companionship session, suggesting that it may have been beneficial. The video has been well received by viewers. Many liked the idea of having a cat as an emotional support animal, while others pointed out the strong bond between the two, describing them as siblings rather than just pets. Some viewers also felt that the video itself was calming to watch.
