A disgraced carer took naked photographs of a vulnerable patient and asked him for sex in a shocking abuse of trust.
Dean Meakins convinced the victim he should take his clothes off and pose for images to put on a dating site.
The 32-year-old propositioned the same man for sex and carried out a sex act in his presence, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
Meakins of High Street East, Sunderland, who worked in Northumberland, has been jailed for six years for that and separate sex offences against a teenage boy, Chronicle Live reports.
Judge Amanda Rippon told Meakins: "You were employed to care for him as a result of his vulnerabilities.
"You did the precise opposite of care for him, you abused him.
"Offending of this type by carers such as yourself has a significant impact on the confidence of the public who trust people who are employed as carers."
The judge said the work of carers has been publicly highlighted during the pandemic and added: "Fortunately, a huge majority of them deserve our trust, our confidence and our thanks."
Meakins was found guilty of two offences of causing or inciting sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder and sexual activity in the presence of a person with a mental disorder.
He was also convicted of sexual activity with a child and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity - in relation to a teenage boy, who he ordered not to tell anyone what he had done.
As well as the prison sentence, he must sign the sex offenders register, abide by the terms of a sexual harm prevention order and will be barred from working with children or vulnerable adults for life.
Judge Rippon said both victims were "particularly vulnerable for different reasons".
David Callan, defending, said Meakins is "educated and articulate" and added: "He accepts the jury's verdict but doesn't agree with it.
"Despite that, he wished to engage with any probation service help he can get in prison."
