Perv roared 'how old are you, get in car' at Dublin girl walking down dark road alone

A sick driver roared at a young girl to get in his car after asking her age in a frightening attempted abduction in north Dublin.

The creep was driving near the student accommodation in Ballymun in his dark SUV when he spotted the youngster.

He pulled up beside her as she walked down the dark road alone and beeped at her, grabbing her attention.

He put down the window and leaned over the passenger seat and shouted at her "what age are you? Get in the car" but thankfully she ran away in a frenzy before the car sped off.

Dublin Live understands that Gardai are investigating the sickening approach and have obtained the driver's details from the girl who was targeted.

The girl said that it was very lucky that it wasn't a younger child who he cornered.

She said: "I was walking up the road alone at the new student accommodation in Ballymun when the car pulled up and beeped so I looked up.

"He put the window down, leaned over the passenger seat and I thought he was going to ask for directions.

"No, instead he said 'what age are you? Get in the car'. I ran off in a panic which was clearly the right thing to do."

She added: "I have his reg and reported it to Gardai for the safety of others.

"Thank god it wasn’t a young child, can’t even go out on your own in your own area."
