Perthshire Open Studios 2020 has been postponed for a year.
The artistic event has annually brought potential art buyers into contact with the creative producers.
But this year, it has been decided it is not wise for it to go ahead.

Glenys Andrews, president of Perthshire Open Studios, said: “Following consultation with our members who had registered for POS 2020, the management committee has taken steps to postpone this year’s event to September 4-12, 2021.
“This was in response to the overwhelming choice of members to postpone the event rather than cancel it altogether or substitute it with a ‘virtual’ on-line version.”
Glenys said of the members who had signed up, 90 had opted to retain their registration and only a few had decided to withdraw and asked for a refund of the registration fees. A number of sponsors who had committed to supporting the 2020 event have pledged their support for next year.
Glenys said: “We will shortly update our website with a gallery of work from members who have retained their registration and intend to participate in 2021.
“We have been heartened by the comments that we have received from many of our participants, expressing their commitment to the event and looking forward to creating new work for 2021.
“We trust that our visitors will understand the reasons for this unprecedented course of action and in the absence of seeing the ‘real thing’, we would invite everyone to view the work of our hugely talented artists on our website: www.perthshireopenstudios.com”
