Perthshire home improvement business expands following £100,000 investment

A Scottish home improvement business has invested £100,000 as part of a major expansion.

Perthshire-headquartered Re Nu has created 12 jobs, with eight already recruited and further four planned during the next few months.

It has also expanded the size of its design studio and invested in its design software and training for two full time designers.

The six-figure investment has also seen the company refit its design studio and buy new vehicles and equipment.

Re Nu initially opened as a bathroom showroom, but the pandemic forced it to pivot towards offering plumbing and heating, joinery, construction and tiling services.

Dave King, head designer at Re Nu, said: "We have seen a huge spike in orders since last summer - a lot of customers tell us that as a result of the pandemic they aren't spending on things like holidays, so they're choosing to invest that money in their homes instead."
