A 22-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Perth on Saturday.
On the afternoon of March 6, police and ambulance came to the aid of a 28-year-old woman found lying injured on Cromlix Road in Perth after falling from a window at around 2.45pm.
The woman was taken to hospital with a number of injuries.
It is alleged she had been assaulted in a nearby flat.
At the time, a 42 year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but he has been released without charge.
The A 22-year-old woman who was arrested was later charged in connection with the alleged assault on the 28-year-old woman within the flat in Cromlix Road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.45pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021, police were called after a woman was found injured in Cromlix Road in Perth.
“She was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment. Medical staff described her condition at the time as stable.
“Enquiries have established that prior to falling from the window, the woman had been assaulted within the flat.

The Police updated the press on Friday, March 12: “A 22-year-old woman has been arrested and charged and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the alleged assault of a 28-year-old woman within a flat in Cromlix Road, Perth, on Saturday, 6 March, 2021.”
