Perth talent gets tuned up

Perform in Perth got underway yesterday ahead of a fortnight of music, speech and dance.

Gaelic reading classes at the Soutar Theatre AK Bell Library opened the festival, which will see hundreds of Perth and Kinross school pupils showing off their skills.

Children will compete in singing, musical instruments, orchestras, poetry, speech and dance in venues across the city. And new for this year will be prepared reading, Bible reading, poetry and singing in Gaelic.
