Perth shop owner wants to help charities who supported him and partner after tragic baby loss

The owner of a popular Perth shop is doing his bit to help the charities that supported him and his girlfriend when they lost their baby.

Lyle Kilbane and his partner lost their baby boy in June this year at just 26 weeks.

Both SIMBA and Sands were there for the couple as they dealt with their heartache.

Now, to give something back, Lyle is running a raffle through his BA Kerrigan sweet and tobacco shop on South Methven Street.

To make the top even more special, it has been signed by the St Johnstone squad.

Lyle revealed the support he had from SIMBA and Sands, which provide support and memory boxes for bereaved parents of stillborn babies.

He said: “The charities provide a lot of services but the one that helped us was they provide baby boxes - memory boxes with little keepsakes.

“It was a massive comfort to us in what was a very dark time in our lives. 

“By doing this raffle, it’s just a small way of saying thank you and hopefully raising crucial funds to help both charities continue to do this.”

Second prize in the raffle will be a jar of pick ‘n’ mix and third prize is a choice of board game being sold in the store.  Tickets cost £1 and can be bought in store or by Paypal to lckilbane@hotmail.co.uk

The draw will be made at 5pm on Saturday, December 19.
