Perth pensioner denies manhandling boys

Perth pensioner has denied manhandling two boys, aged 12 and 13, and then assaulting two police officers, one by striking her with a handcuff.

Sixty-six-year-old Graeme Kidd, of Glengarry Road, will face trial at Perth Sheriff Court on January 22, 2020.

An earlier hearing was fixed for December 19, 2019.

Kidd is alleged to have pushed the 13-year-old on the body on one occasion in Glengarry Road between April 8 and 15 last year.

He is then said to have seized the younger boy on the arm and pushed him on the body, again on one occasion, between the same dates.

A third charge claims that between May 8 and 14, 2018, he approached these two boys, spoke to them, forced himself between them and attempted to grab a ball.

It is then alleged that he attempted to film and take pictures of another boy, also 12.

Kidd is further accused of assaulting PC Chetan Sharma by pushing him on the body and struggling with PC Ruth Turner by struggling with her and striking her on the body with a handcuff.

Kidd has been excused from attending the December court date.
