Perth Glory's high-profile A-League Men's signing, Daniel Sturridge, is getting ready to exit quarantine, and he wants to make sure he has a fresh cut when he meets his new teammates — and he had some very specific demands.

"Need a barber in Perth WA on Thursday," Sturridge wrote on his Instagram story.

"My hairline is very important to me. It's straight.

"I don't want to leave AU with an M head hairline."

Sturridge asked only for "top level" barbers to put their CV forward and said he would be checking the profiles of people who applied.

"Shaky hands I rebuke you," he said.

Sturridge — who is double-dose vaccinated, is currently in hotel quarantine in Perth — said he had the the time to check people's profiles while he was in quarantine.

"I had time today. Well I have time every day I'm in quarantine. Still."

Sturridge — who won 26 senior caps for England, scoring 8 goals — apparently had plenty of responses, but not many to his liking as he followed up his first message with a second.

"I love you my fans but you are taking it too far with some of these profiles you're sending me," he wrote a couple of hours later.

"If I look on your profile and you don't have one black person's hair that you have cut, I do not intend to be the first.

"Unfortunately, you aren't qualified to cut my hair. I do not intend to be the first afro hairline you butcher.

"I do not want to have to tell you to cut my hair forward to engineer my waves back, you should already know the vibes.

"Please revoke your CV and unsend your DM."

He signed off, calling himself "D Studgie D from quarantine".

Perth Glory — which finished ninth in the 12-team A-League Men's competition last season — has a busy start to the season, kicking off their campaign on November 20 against Adelaide United.

They then meet Western United on November 26, just two days after an FFA Cup playoff against Melbourne Victory.
