Perth city centre bank branch forced to close doors due to COVID-19

A Perth city centre bank was forced to close its doors temporarily last week due to COVID-19.

The Bank of Scotland building on King Edwards Street was seen shut last Thursday with a notice placed on the window stating the branch will reopen “as soon as we are able to do so”.

The notice also advised that customers wishing to visit a Bank of Scotland branch can go to the nearest one located in Blairgowrie.

The notice read: “We’ve temporarily closed the branch as we’ve had a colleague/customer affected by coronavirus.

“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and reopen the branch as soon as we are able to do so.

“If you’ve visited the branch recently, please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus for advice on how best to look after yourself.

“If you need to visit a branch, the nearest one is located at Blairgowrie.

“We continue to be here for all our customers in a number of different ways. A safe and easy way to bank right now is through online and mobile banking. You can also call Telephone Banking on 0345 721 3141. Thank you for your support.”

The bank is now back open serving customers.
