Perth bank branch to close for six weeks for refurbishment

Customers at a Perth bank will need to make alternative arrangements for the next six weeks.

The branch on High Street will close on Thursday for an extensive refurbishment.

It is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, October 15.

The ATM at the branch will also be out of action at the that time, but Nationwide says there are alternatives for customers during the closure.

The refurbishment is part of a nationwide project which recently seen the branch in Dundee revamped.

A spokesperson for Nationwide said the bank has invested £225 million in over 200 branches in the last three years.

They added: “We are temporarily closing our Perth branch from Thursday, September 3 so that we can bring the most up-to-date facilities to our members.

“We’re making improvements to the layout of the branch as well as installing the latest technology for our members to use.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

“Members can continue to transact with us via our online, mobile and telephone services, and current account customers can make cash withdrawals and balance enquiries at the local post office.

“We are also displaying a poster, directing members to our newly refurbished Dundee branch and ATM in the local area.

“Our Perth branch will reopen on Thursday 15 October.”
