Perth and Kinross Council HQ facing technical problems due to blackout

Perth and Kinross Council's HQ at 2 High Street is experiencing technical issues as a result of yesterday's city centre blackout.

The council systems and phone services have been facing difficulties since around 9am this morning.

A council spokesperson said the issues are a result of yesterday's (February 10) blackout, which took hold around 4pm, and saw High Street, Watergate and other areas of the city centre lose power.

A statement on the PKC Facebook page said: "Our Customer Service Centre is currently closed due to unforeseen circumstances which are affecting telephones and emails.

"The cash office at Pullar House will remain closed today as we are unable to process cash transactions.

"Pullar House is otherwise open to the public and staff will do their best to assist given the current situation.

"We are working to resolve these issues at present and will provide an update as soon as we can.

"Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

"Our Housing Repairs Centre is experiencing issues with its telephones and emails this morning.

"Please only call the main phone number (01738) 476000 if you need to report an emergency repair."
