A person has been taken to hospital following an early-morning incident at Granton Harbour.
Emergency services were called to the area at around 4.40am after reports of "concern for a person" nearby.
The person was not in the water but ambulance crews, coastguards and rescue teams were called to provide assistance and remained on the scene for around four hours.
Police say that the situation was resolved and the person taken off to hospital at around 9.05am. There are not thought to be any serious injuries.
