A video taken from the scene shows emergency services next to two cars, close to the metal barriers outside HSS Hire.

There was at least two fire engines, two ambulances and a police van in attendance.

Despite a patient being taken to hospital, the incident was not believed to be serious.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: "One person was taken to hospital.

"Doesn’t seem too serious.

"The 999 call came in at 16.05."

A GMP spokesman added: "[It was a] two vehicle RTC.

"Appears to have only been minor injuries."
