Person taken to hospital after crash in north Bristol

One person was taken to hospital after a crash in Ashley Down yesterday (June 1)

The one-vehicle collision happened at around 12.20pm on Monday on Ashley Down Road.

The north Bristol road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended.

In a statement, South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at around 12.20pm about a single-vehicle incident on Ashley Down Way, Bristol.

"Our crews treated three patients at the scene and conveyed one of them to hospital by land ambulance with minor injuries."

There was very slow traffic from Chesterfield Road to Sefton Park Road as a result of the crash, near Sefton Park Junior school.

First Bus also diverted services while the road was closed.
