Person taken to hospital after car ends up on its roof in crash on residential street

One person has been taken to hospital after a crash left a car on its roof in the middle of a residential street in Llanelli.

The collision happened shortly after 7pm on Wednesday night.

Two vehicles were involved, a white Mini Cooper and a red Kia Rio - the latter of which overturned in the middle of Felinfoel Road.

The road was blocked off by police as they attended the scene of the crash - at the top end of Hedley Terrace - along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred just after 7pm on Wednesday, June 2, on Felinfoel Road in Llanelli.

“The vehicles involved were a white Mini Cooper and a red Kia Rio. One person was taken to hospital.”

The injured person was taken to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen. The extent of their injuries is not known, but they are understood to be non life-threatening.
