Person struck by train between Ayrshire and Paisley

A person has been struck by a train earlier today.

Train services in Ayrshire have been disrupted as emergency services deal with the incident, which according to Scotrail's twitter feed happened between Kilwinning and Paisley Gilmour Street.

Services between Glasgow Central and Ayr, Ardrossan Harbour and Largs are being terminated and started back from Paisley Gilmour Street.

A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Some services have been subject to delay and alteration. Sadly, this is due to a person being struck by a train.”

Scotrail have said that replacement buses have been arranged valid train tickets will be accepted on selected local buses.
