Person struck by train between Anniesland and Dalmuir stations

A person has reportedly been struck by a train between Anniesland and Dalmuir train stations this morning.

ScotRail confirmed that they have received reports of the incident, and are currently working with the emergency services.

They expect that rail services in Glasgow will be disrupted for the rest of the morning as a result, with services via Singer diverted via a Yoker.

They have since confirmed that services to and from Milngavie are running and will be able to call at Westerton and Anniesland stations, although Singer, Drumry and Drumchapel will not be served at this time.

They tweeted: "Unfortunately we've received reports of a person being struck by a train between Dalmuir & Anniesland. We're working closely with emergency services at this time and expect services to be disrupted for the rest of the morning.

"Services via Singer will be diverted via Yoker."

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to Drumry railway station at 8.41am this morning (May 13) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics are on the scene with the casualty. This incident is not being treated as suspicious."
