Person struck by Scots train as emergency services race to scene

A person has been struck by a Scots train as emergency services race to the incident.

ScotRail made the announcement via their Twitter page at 9:45pm on Friday 18 June.

The incident occurred between Falkirk Grahamston and Linlithgow train stations.

The train operators added that they are working closely with emergency services.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed.

The nature of the person's injuries and their current medical condition are not known at this time.

The news comes after a person hit by a train in Falkirk died in January this year.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.

The Daily Record have also contacted British Transport Police for comment.
