A man was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Irving Park on the Northwest Side.
The 20-year-old was shot in his head about 3:05 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Cullom Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he died, police said. The circumstances of the shooting were unknown.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not release details about the death.
Police initially said someone was in custody in connection with the shooting, but said later Friday that no one was.
Area North Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
