Person shot dead in Elgin: police

Someone was fatally shot in the 1200 block of Fleetwood Drive on Aug. 6, 2019. | File photo

A person was fatally shot Tuesday in west suburban Elgin.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Fleetwood Drive and found one person who was shot, Elgin police said in a statement.

The person was taken to a hospital and pronounce dead, police said. Additional details have not been released.
