Person rushed to hospital following large scale disturbance involving weapons in Glasgow's east end

One person has been rushed to hospital following a large-scale disturbance involving weapons in the east end of Glasgow.

The incident occurred earlier this evening on Walter Street in the Haghill area, and saw police cordon off the street for a number of hours while they carried out their enquiries.

An eyewitness told Glasgow Live that the police have only just opened up the road to traffic following the incident and that it may have involved "a running battle" between local youths.

Police have confirmed that a large-scale disturbance took place involving weapons and that one person was taken to hospital as a result of their injuries.
