A person was robbed twice this week in an apartment building in west suburban Batavia.
Officers responded to reports of a robbery Monday about 8 p.m. in an apartment building in the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia police said. The resident said two men approached in a common area inside of the building and demanded money.
They removed a piece of jewelry, but it was recovered at the scene, police said. The suspects were described as between the ages of 23 and 28.
About 6:30 p.m. the next day, someone stopped an officer at the same apartment building and told them about an earlier robbery, police said.
Two men cornered the same resident in a stairwell of the apartment building about 12:45 p.m., grabbed them and took money from their pockets, police said.
The resident wasn’t injured in either incident, police said.
One man was described as 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 pounds while the other as 5-foot-6 and weighing 140 pounds.
It is unclear if the suspects in the robberies are the same, police said.
