A person was rescued from CTA Green Line tracks Friday after falling off the platform on the West Side.

Fire crews responded about 1:20 p.m. for a person who fell on the tracks at the California stop, 2800 W. Lake St., according to police and fire officials.

A male was pulled from the tracks and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for treatment, authorities said. The person’s condition was not immediately known.

Green Line service was delayed about 15 minutes, according to an alert from the transit agency.
