Person requires treatment after fire in Perth

A person required treatment for smoke inhalation after an incident in Perth on Tuesday.

Firefighters were called to a blaze in a home on Dunkeld Road shortly after 2pm.

Two fire engines were needed to put the fire out.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.14pm on Tuesday, June 30 to reports of a dwelling fire in Perth.

"Operations control mobilised two appliances to the city's Dunkeld Road, where firefighters extinguished the fire.

"One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was transferred into the care of paramedics."Firefighters thereafter left the scene."
