A person has been rescued from a burning building in South Liverpool.
Firefighters confirmed a person had been pulled "conscious and breathing" from the residential home on Arundel Avenue, Sefton Park, shortly after its roof collapsed at around 2.20pm.
Six fire engines were called to the scene at 1.23pm following reports that the house was on fire. ECHO readers reported hearing an "explosion" on the street around that time, while a neighbour at the scene described the noise as "like a lorry crashing".
