Person pulled from River Clyde after paramedics race to the scene

A person has been pulled from the River Clyde.

, fire crews and paramedics were called to the area in Glasgow just after 6.30pm.

The person was pulled from the water after two boats were sent to the scene at 7pm.

They were taken to hospital for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to Clyde Place at 1830 this evening after reports of a person in the water.

"The person has now been pulled from the water."

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two water rescue crews were called to reports of a person in the water close to Clyde Place.

"The person was rescued from the River Clyde soon after we arrived."
