A person was pistol-whipped while riding a Blue Line train Wednesday morning on the Northwest Side.
About 9 a.m., a female was on a northbound train in the 1900 block of North Western Avenue when a male approached her and hit her with a gun, Chicago police said.
The female was taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, police said. Her condition was not immediately known.
The attacker was not in custody.
