A person on a mobility scooter was hit by a car tonight close to Belle Vale shopping centre.
Merseyside Police were called at 6.35pm on Thursday, December 22, following reports of a crash on Childwall Valley Road and and Hedgefield Road in Belle Vale. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a person on a mobility scooter had crashed at the junction.
Officers requested an ambulance to attend the scene as they blocked off the road in both directions. The ECHO understands nobody is believed to be seriously injured in the incident.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while emergency services work at the scene.
Arriva North West tweeted following the incident to let passengers know they will not be able to collect people from Belle Vale Shopping Centre and Childwall Valley Road as far as Barnham Drive. Merseytravel warned of "delays and diversions".
