Person of interest questioned in West Town woman’s death

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, and police are questioning a man.

A 40-year-old woman was found shot to death in West Town Tuesday.

Officers responded to calls of a person shot about 8:56 p.m. in the 2200 block of West Grand Avenue and found a woman unresponsive in a living room, Chicago police said.

She had a gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

A man was taken in as a person of interest, and the incident may be domestic related, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
