Police are questioning a person of interest after a 62-year-old man was fatally struck by a car Sunday in Homan Square on the Southwest Side.

The man was struck by a white Dodge Charger northbound about 2:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Kedzie Avenue, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Though his identity hasn’t been released, an autopsy confirmed he died from his injuries and ruled his death an accident, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An investigation is ongoing.
