
A woman was killed and two others hurt in a crash Thursday in southwest suburban Plainfield.
Officers were called about 9:10 p.m. to the area of Route 126 between Meadow Lane and Indian Boundary for a vehicle crash, Plainfield police said.
The 37-year-old driver of a Toyota Camry lost control while eastbound on Route 126 and struck a BMW X5, police said. He was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while his passenger, a 37-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 58-year-old woman driving the BMW was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Plainfield police are investigating the crash.
