A 41-year-old man was killed in a crash Sunday on Interstate 80/94 in Hammond, Indiana.
He was identified as Cheryl Mcattee of Rockford by the Lake County coroner’s office.
The crash happened before 10:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80/94 near Calumet Avenue, Indiana State Police said.
An investigation found that a green Kia was driving east when the driver lost control and struck the median wall.
The driver got out of the Kia and was stood near the vehicle on the passenger side, when he was struck by a 2012 Dodge Charger, state police said. Mcattee was pronounced dead at the scene.
