Person jumps from window to escape serious fire at Bedminster flat

A brave person had to jump to safety from a window to escape a fire at a flat in Bedminster.

Firefighters from Bedminster and Temple were called to the blaze early today (Saturday, September 4).

Six firefighters using breathing apparatus brought the fire under control.

The occupier of the flat managed to escape the blaze by jumping out of a window.

The fire left the flat badly damaged.

A fire ripped through a flat in Bedminster early on Saturday, September 4 (Avon Fire and Rescue)

Crews at Bedminster Fire Station tweeted about the incident and said: “Another night, another fire!

“Flat fire in #Bedminster, 6 firefighters from Bedminster and @AFRSTemple wearing breathing apparatus brought the severe blaze under control.

“The occupier self-rescued by jumping off a window.”
