A person was dramatically saved from the sea in Blackpool on New Year's Day.
RNLI crews scrambled to the seafront after being called to a person in the water at 6.45pm yesterday.
The two RNLI boats dispatched eventually found the stranded, LancsLive reports.

Sending in two boats, the crews searched the dark waters from Central to South Pier where they were able to find the person.
A spokesperson for RNLI Blackpool said: "Our RNLI volunteers responded to their pagers for the first time in 2022 when they were called out at 6.45pm this evening.
"The Coastguard received reports of a person possibly in the sea near Central Pier.
"Both D class lifeboats launched and searched from Central to South Pier.
"Fortunately the person was found & helped to safety by Coastguard volunteers."
