Person in 'critical condition' following crash between motorbike and car in Stockport

A person was taken to hospital following a serious crash in Stockport.

Emergency services were called to Brinksway at the junction with Northgate Road, in Cheadle Heath, following a smash between a motorbike and a car on Tuesday night.

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said a person was taken to hospital in a 'critical condition'.

Greater Manchester Police have not released any information about the crash.

A section of Brinksway, near to the Bow Garrett pub, was sealed off by police last night (Tuesday).

Images taken at the scene showed forensic officers searching the area and police officers standing guard at the cordon.

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.10pm last night to Northgate Road and Stockport Road.

"We attended with two ambulances and an advanced paramedic.

"It is a vehicle and motorcycle collision.

"One patient was taken to hospital in a critical condition."

The Manchester Evening News has contacted GMP for comment, but the force has not responded.
