Person hospitalised after horror three-car crash on busy Fife road

A person was hospitalised after a three-car crash forced police to shut down a busy Scots road.

Emergency crews raced to the smash on the A91 at Stratheden in Fife after the alarm was raised at 5.40pm on Friday.

Cops shut off the busy road in both directions for around an hour, with the incident occurring on a fast straight, close to the Quaker Oats factory.

The road was eventually cleared by 7.05pm.

Images of the crash emerged online with a photo on the Fife Jammers' Facebook page showing officers on the scene.

One person was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report of a three-car road crash on the A91 at Stratheden around 5.40pm on Friday, 5 March, 2021.

"One person was taken to hospital for treatment and the road was cleared by 7.05pm."
