Person hit by train - GWR services disrupted between London and Bristol

A person has been hit by a train between London Paddington to Reading this evening (Tuesday).

Multiple services running between London, Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham and Plymouth, may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

And no trains will be stopping at West Drayton until further notice.

A Network Rail spokesperson said 'major disruption' is expected until the end of the day.

They said: "A person has been hit by a train between London Paddington and Reading.

"As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

"In addition, no trains will be able to call at West Drayton until further notice."

Great Western Railway affected services include London Paddington and Banbury / Bedwyn / Bristol Temple Meads / Cheltenham Spa / Cardiff Central / Didcot Parkway / Great Malvern / Reading / Plymouth / Oxford / Swansea / Plymouth.

Travel advice

Customers can travel on either:

  • Chiltern Railways services via any reasonable route
  • CrossCountry services via any reasonable route
  • South Western Railway services via any reasonable route
