Man shot to death in Gresham backyard

A 32-year-old man was found shot to death Thursday in Gresham on the South Side, police said.

Carey Faukner was discovered in a backyard in the 7900 block of South Paulina Street, Chicago police said.

He had two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the head, police said. He was pronounced dead at 10:34 p.m. according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
