
A man was killed in a shooting Monday in Albany Park on the Northwest Side, police said.
He was on the sidewalk about 8:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Argyle Street when someone unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.
The 26-year-old was struck in the armpit area and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the death.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
