A person has died after falling down a notorious ridge on Snowdon.

Team members discovered the person had fallen “25 to 30 metres” on the lower slopes of Crib Goch’s north ridge, the scene of numerous tragedies over the years, reports NorthWalesLive.
The casualty was found unconscious and not breathing, before being airlifted to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
A Coastguard rescue helicopter collected the casualty from the top of Dinas Mot crags before flying to hospital.
A spokesperson for Llanberis MRT said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased casualty.”
Last week the team of volunteers retrieved another Crib Goch casualty, a 74-year-old man who had fallen “five to six metres”, injuring his arm and head.
He was treated for his injuries before being evacuated by Coastguard helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.
Earlier, Dinas Mot was itself the scene of a rescue when two climbers became stuck on its crags. The pair were airlifted to Nant Peris.
In a busy few days for the team, they also came to the aid of a 25-year-old woman who had broken her ankle on Snowdon’s summit on Saturday morning.
