A person died Wednesday after their vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck on Interstate 94 in north suburban Wadsworth.
A 2011 Toyota was stopped just before midnight on eastbound I-94 near Rosecrans Road when the semi slammed into it from behind, killing the Toyota’s driver, Illinois State Police said.
State police could not confirm Thursday whether the truck driver, a 57-year-old Kenosha man, was cited for the crash.
All eastbound lanes of I-94 were closed for over six hours as state police investigated the crash.
