A person has died after being hit by a train in Glasgow.
Emergency services attended Cardonald Station at 9pm on Sunday night after receiving reports of a person being hit by a train.
Paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene.
Services between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street were suspended last night.
A spokesperson said: "BTP officers attended the line close to Cardonald Railway Station on Sunday September 8, 2019, after a report that a person had been struck by a train.
"Paramedics also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
"Next of kin have been informed.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner."
