Person cut from horror A90 crash involving lorry and two cars

Emergency services had to cut someone out of a car following a horror crash on a Scots road today.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the A90, near Fordoun, after a smash between two cars and a lorry.

A 58-year-old man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, however is condition is not known at the time.

The road was closed while fire crews cut the person from the wreckage, and motorists were advice to take alternative routes.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman added: "We were called to attend by the police at 1.08pm. to an incident involving three vehicles.

"We used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools.

"Police and ambulance were also in attendance, and we left the scene at 1.24pm."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a crash involving two cars and a lorry on the A90 at Fordoun around 12.45pm on Saturday, April 10.

"A 58-year-old man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
